Terms
Using this website
The content on this website is provided for general information about Shades of Blue Lifestyles (Pty) Ltd's services. We take care to keep it accurate, but it is not an offer. Prices, scope and timelines are confirmed only in a written quotation.
Quotations
- Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, and are based on the site inspection and information provided.
- Work outside the quoted scope is quoted separately before it starts.
- Material prices may change after the validity period; we will tell you before ordering.
Deposits and payment
- Private customers: a 50% deposit is payable on acceptance and the balance on completion and sign-off.
- Corporate and government customers: payment terms as per your purchase order or agreed contract.
Workmanship
Completed work is inspected with you at handover. Defects in our workmanship reported in writing within 90 days of completion are put right at no charge. This does not cover damage from misuse, other contractors or normal wear.
Labour hire
Labour-hire placements are governed by a separate service agreement setting out rates, hours, the client's on-site obligations (including health and safety), and termination.
Health and safety on site
Our teams work to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and to your site rules. Please tell us about site inductions, permits to work and PPE requirements when you accept a quote, so the team arrives ready.
Cancellations and changes
You may cancel a site inspection at no cost using the link in the confirmation email. If accepted work is cancelled after materials have been ordered or fabricated, the cost of those materials is payable.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where it applies.
